City Council is autiiorized to grant variances <br />1'rom this regulation under 13.�G.11J. <br />A rezone of this block done in 1990 restricted access off of ColUy Avenue, unless appraved by lhe Ciry <br />'Craffic Engineer and Planu�ng Director. <br />Access from the alley would be steeper than the level access Colby Avenue, however, constniction of the <br />access ofi' the alley is possible wilhout significant expense. The existing alley is faidy narrow and has a <br />gravclsurface. <br />While the Everett Municip:il Code gives a relatively clear indication as to denial of a. permit ior this <br />access, lhe installation of a driveway for a single family residence at this location will have lilll� impact <br />on the surrounding traffic flow. A driveway off Colby Avenuc scrvicing this site is consistcnt wi;h thc <br />other single family residents in the area. <br />RL-COMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Courcil): <br />City Council authorizc approval of a permit for a Giivc�cay ;u �611 Colby :\ccnuc. <br />� <br />
