The iesue ie whether the neighborhood ie better wlth a row oP carports - one in front of each house, or xhether the neighborhood is better the way it io. I believe it le better the way it is. In thie area, contiguoue to the Everett Community College, we have had our parkinR righte diluted. ifhen the college ie in eeseion it ie imposeible to park in front of our orm homes. Coneequently there ia eoma deterioration in tY:e area. The next thing that w.t1Z ha�pen xill be the 4tlution of single family dwellinge wlth the college eo �,�ear. This hae happened at ninth and Watmore. We want to preserve our good neighborhood from further deterioz•ation. If Mr. Andereon xante to rebuild care. he can put up a structure in hie back yard which may coet a little more but will bring peace to the nei�hborhood. There are many retired folke on Lhie etreet. When theee folka move for one reaeon or another, younger people xill take their place. Young people e,lways need more room. If thle variance ie grant-ed it will be moet difficult to ?any other�.
