Expenditure Required $ 70,194.00 Account Number(s): Amount Budgeted $-0- 031-522-0000-445 ($35,097) Additional Required $ 70,194.00 031-592-0000-520 ($35,097) DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Everett Police Department has been functioning as the Grant Administrator for the STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant program since 1997. The Department, along with the Prosecutor's Office, Center for Battered Women and Providence Everett Sexual Assault Center, collaborate to train law enforcement and prosecutors to more effectively identify and respond to violent crimes against women. The grant total for FY 2003 is$105,291;with the Center for Battered Women receiving $17,548.50;Providence $17,548.50; Snohomish County Prosecutor's Office $35,097.00 and Everett Police $35,097.00. Amendment No. 2 to the 2/13/02 Interlocal Agreement with Snohomish County extends the term of the Agreement to cover the FY 2003 grant period, sets reporting dates, County match requirement and City reimbursement. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 2 to the Interlocal Agreement of 2/13/02 with Snohomish County regarding the STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant program. 70
