The Department, along with the Prosecutor's Office, <br /> Center for Battered Women and Providence Everett Sexual Assault Center, collaborate to train law <br /> enforcement and prosecutors to more effectively identify and respond to violent crimes against women. <br /> Providence Everett Sexual Assault Center will receive $17,548.50 of STOP grant monies for FY 2003. The <br /> City of Everett and Providence Everett Sexual Assault Center entered into an Agreement in 2002 which <br /> defined responsibilities and obligations of the parties. The FY 2003 Agreement is essentially the same as the <br /> FY 2002 Agreement,but sets the term of the Agreement to cover the FY 2003 grant period, changes some of <br /> the services to be provided, sets 2003 reporting dates, and sets 2003 reimbursement guidelines. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign Agreement for FY 2003 with Providence Everett Sexual Assault Center <br /> regarding the STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant program. 8 2 <br />
