Resolution No. 5564 <br /> A Resolution accepting the 75 percent petition /%/11 <br /> for the area south and north of 112th Street SW <br /> and east of Airport Road,known as <br /> the Kenny Annexation. <br /> WHEREAS, property owners within the annexation area have requested to be <br /> annexed into the City of Everett, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has approved the gathering of signatures for the <br /> 75 percent petition for annexation meeting the requirements of RCW 35.13.125, and <br /> WHEREAS, the annexation proponent has gathered property owner signatures within <br /> the area and submitted the required 75 percent petition to the City, and <br /> WHEREAS, The 75 percent petition was certified by the Snohomish County Auditor on <br /> November 5, 2004. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has a desire to work with the property owners in a <br /> cooperative and supportive manner to become part of the City of Everett, and <br /> WHEREAS, the area proposed for annexation is within the City of Everett's Urban <br /> Growth Boundary area established by the City Council, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council held a public hearing on December 15, 2004 <br /> to hear public comment on the request for annexation. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 1. The City of Everett accepts the 75 percent petition for the proposed annexation (see <br /> attached map, Exhibit A) <br /> 2. Upon annexation Everett will require the simultaneous implementation of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan designation by adoption of zoning for the annexation area. <br /> 3.
