' 7 <br /> /?t/,//:1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5428 <br /> A RESOLUTION Clarifying And Confirming Duration Of The <br /> Terms Of Appointed Members Of The Everett Public Facilities <br /> District Board Established By Resolution No. 5030 Pursuant To <br /> Chapter 35.57 RCW And Specifying Term Beginning And <br /> Ending Dates. <br /> WHEREAS, RCW 35.57.010 requires the City Council to appoint members of <br /> the Board of Directors of the Everett Public Facilities District; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 15, 2001 by Ordinance No. 2511-01, the Everett City <br /> Council created the Everett Public Facilities District; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 4, 2001 the Everett City Council by Resolution No. 5030 <br /> made initial appointments to the Everett Public Facilities District Board of Directors; and <br /> WHEREAS, RCW 35.57.010 required that terms of the initial appointments <br /> made by the City Council be staggered such as that one appointment is for a one-year <br /> term, one appointment is for a two-year term, one appointment is for a three-year term <br /> and two appointments are for four-year terms; and <br /> WHEREAS, EMC 2.14.040(C)requires that terms for positions on all boards <br /> appointed by the City Council shall shall expire on December 31st of the year of term <br /> expiration; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire and intent of the Everett City Council to insure that <br /> its appointments of persons to serve on the Board of Directors of the Everett Public <br /> Facilities District are in conformity with state law generally and specifically Chapter <br /> 35.57 RCW; and <br /> 1 <br />
