Expenditure Required $ -0- Account Number(s): Amount Budgeted $ -0- Additional Required $ -0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: This resolution establishes golf green fees as outlined effective June 1,2004. Resolution No. 5276 establishing golf green fees for the City's municipal golf courses expired at the end of December 2003. Resolution No. 5421 extended these 2003 golf green fees until such time as a new resolution was brought to Council. The City's two municipal golf courses have operated as enterprise funds since the early 1970's.Financial analysis tells us that modifications to the current rate structure are necessary to maintain golf as an enterprise fund. There is a gap between annual revenue and annual expenditures.The gap between revenue and expenditures has occurred primarily due to an annual expenditure for the repayment of municipal bonds of nearly$700,000.Revenue must increase to assist in closing this gap.The golf green fees in this resolution will increase revenue to the golf courses. RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): City Council approve the Resolution adopting all fees and rate structure for the City of Everett municipal golf courses. 23
