September 17, 2003. <br /> Council approval of this agenda item authorizes a budget revision in the additional <br /> amount requested. <br /> Expenditure <br /> Required $ -0- Account Number(s): <br /> Amount Budgeted $ -0- <br /> Additional <br /> Required $ -0- <br /> DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: <br /> At the time City Council took action on the Port of Everett's North Marina Project, the action <br /> included an amendment to the City's Shoreline Master Program to allow nonwater-uses <br /> within shoreline jurisdiction. Under state law, amendments to Shoreline Master Programs <br /> must be approved by the State Department of Ecology. The Department of Ecology has <br /> approved the amendment with some minor amendments. Briefly those amendments are: (1) <br /> make clear that the amendment is only related the North Marina area with an added map <br /> and footnote, and (2) add language to the Purpose statement to be more consistent with the <br /> Vision statement within the Shoreline Master Program. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Approve Ordinance amending the <br /> Shoreline Master Program amendment Ordinance 2713-03,in response to suggested revisions put forth by <br /> the Department of Ecology,leading to final State approval of the North Marina Shoreline Master Program <br /> amendment. <br /> 97 <br />
