The recommended bidder will provide a Coast Guard Certified boat with pilot and <br /> crew licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard to carry passengers on a boat of 100 gross tons or less. Boat shall <br /> have the capacity to transport a minimum of 79 passengers for scheduled ferry service on the Snohomish <br /> River Channel between the 10th St. Boat Launch or Marina Village Visitors Dock and Jetty Island Dock. <br /> Service may also include trips into Port Gardner Bay and upriver to Langus Riverfront Park as scheduled by <br /> the City of Everett Parks & Recreation Department. <br /> Invitations to bid were mailed to 14 potential bidders, advertised in the Herald and posted on our website. <br /> Responses were received as shown on the attached bid summary. <br /> Staff recommends awarding the basic bid for five days of ferry service per week. The reduced service option <br /> was solicited in the event the basic bid exceeded our$70,000 budget appropriation. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Award Bid 2004-683 for Jetty Island Ferry Service to Argosy LP dba Argosy Cruises, the lowest responsive <br /> bidder, at their unit prices bid for an estimated 2004 season total of$64,995.00. <br /> 14 <br />
