Responses were received a shown on the attached bid summary. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Award Bid 2004-686 for an Annual Supply of Water Treatment Chemicals to the lowest responsive bidders at their unit prices bid as follows: • Soda Ash to General Chemical Industrial Products at $139.50 per ton for an estimated annual total of $230,175.00 • Aluminum Sulfate to General Chemical Performance Products at$179.00 per ton for an estimated annual total of$67,849.95 including Washington State Sales/Use Tax. • Liquid Chlorine to JCI Jones Chemicals Inc. at$314.00 per ton for an estimated annual total of $62,800.00 • Fluoride to Cascade Columbia Distribution at$216.03 per ton for an estimated annual total of $108,015.00 • Polyelectrolye to Americhem International @ $1,298.00 per ton (carboys) and$1,038.00 per ton(bulk) for an estimated annual total of$66,766.95 including Washington State Sales/Use Tax. 18
