Expenditure Required $ -0- Account Number(s): Amount Budgeted $5,760,000 UP 2827-1 Additional Required $ -0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: On Nov. 12, 1997,the City entered into a Professional Services Agreement with Berger/ABAM in the amount of$199,858 for phase 1 of "Panther Creek and Portal 4 Project". Phase 1 of the project covered the preparation of"Facilities and Design Development Report". On January 26, 2001,the City and Berger/ABAM executed Amendment 1 in the additional amount of$556,946 for Phase 2 of the "Panther Creek Project". Phase 2 of the project covered the preparation of"Final Design and Construction Documents". The current total contract compensation for the project is $756,804. The requested Amendment 2 extends the completion date of the contract from December 31, 2003 to June 30, 2006 to allow for the completion of Phase 2 of the Panther Creek project. This Amendment does not change the dollar amount or Scope of Services of the Professional Services Agreement or Amendment 1. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the mayor to sign Amendment No. 2 with Berger/ABAM to complete Phase 2 of the design replacement for Panther Creek Screenhouse. 22
