Acceptance of the 10%petition by City Council will <br /> allow the applicant to gather signatures on the 75%petition. At the June 16, 2004 meeting City Council will <br /> determine whether the City Council will: (1)approve the attempted gathering of petition signatures <br /> representing 75% of the assessed valuation of properties found within the annexation boundaries as depicted <br /> upon the attached map, (2) geographically modify the proposed annexation area, (3) require the adoption of a <br /> comprehensive plan for the area proposed for annexation,and (4)require the assumption of existing City <br /> indebtedness by owners of property within the proposed annexation area. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Set June 16,2004 as the date to consider <br /> acceptance of the 10%petition and Notice of Intent submitted by John Kenny for annexation. <br /> r. 24 <br />
