5 EVALUATION OF ATI SUBMITTAL FOR BRUSH AERATORS BID No. 2004-696 Item 1: Electric Motor The Motor proposed by Ati does not meet the specification for several reasons: • ATI proposes a Motor Service Factor of 1.15. The specification requires a Service Factor of 1.25. • ATI proposes class F insulation and no mention of slot caps or liners, with spray enamel coatings. The specification requires class H insulation with silicone slot caps and liners, and epoxy coated windings. • Ati proposes a TE enclosure. The specification requires a TEFC enclosure. Item 2: Gear Reducers The Gear Reducer proposed by Ati does not meet the specification: • ATI proposes a standard Lip Seal for the Gearbox. The specification requires either an Inpro or Protec Seal. Item 3: Horizontal Rotor Assembly The Rotor Assembly proposed by ATi does not meet the specifications for several reasons: • ATi uses a Schedule 10 Torque Tube. The specification requires a Schedule 40 Torque Tube. • The Rotor Drive and Tail Shaft for ATi Aerators are 304 Stainless Steel. The specification requires 316 Stainless Steel. • The Rotor Drive and Tail Shaft for ATi Aerators are welded in place (I). The specification requires the Rotor Drive and Tail Shaft be bolted in place using 316 Stainless Steel hardware. • The Rotor for ATi Aerators is Hot-Dipped Galvanized. The specification requires Stainless Steel or Powder Coating. Item 4: Main Frame The Main Frame proposed by ATi does not meet the specification: • The ATi Main Frame is Hot-Dipped Galvanized. The specification requires Stainless Steel or Powder Coating. Item 5 Mooring Assembly The Mooring Assembly proposed by ATi does not meet the specification: • The ATi Mooring Assembly is Hot-Dipped Galvanized.
