9
Project:
Change Order: 6
Change Order Effective Date: July 21,2004
Exhibit A—Description of Changed Work
To assure our biosolids are treated and meet State and Federal Regulations for beneficial
reuse, adequate storage volume in the aeration cells at the WPCF is critical. During the 2004
biosolids removal, the parties agree that an additional 2000 dry tons of biosolids must be
dredged and dewatered to provide ample storage volume and adequate treatment in
preparation for the next biosolids removal in 2006.
This change order:
1) Increases the length of time,by 30 days, for completion of Phase 2 (Year 2004).
Section 1.36 Time of Completion is therefore amended to read as follows, "The
Contractor shall have 90 calendar days from the notice to proceed to complete the
2004 biosolids removal." This change is only effective for Phase 2 of this Contract.
2) Modifies the price per dry ton for biosolids dredging and dewatering. The Bid
Schedule is revised to include mobilization, dredging and dewatering for up to 2000
dry tons at$196.43/dry ton for Phase 2 of the Contract. This creates an increase of
$392,860 for Phase 2 of this Contract, is only effective for Phase 2 and is subject to
available storage area for dewatered biosolids. This represents 17% of the total
adjusted Contract value.
Exhibit A
41
