The 2003 award funds the program for the period from <br /> September 2003 through August 2005. Applications are due January 12, 2005 to compete for up to $400,000 <br /> to continue the 2003 program. FY 2005 Federal grant money would pay for approximately 75% of three full- <br /> time domestic violence program personnel, some maintenance and operations expenses, and an advocate at <br /> the Snohomish County Center for Battered Women (a grant requirement) from September 2005 through <br /> August 2007. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor to sign necessary documents to apply for 24 months of <br /> continuation grant funding from the United States Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against <br /> Women. The documents include the application for federal assistance,Memoranda of Understanding with <br /> various agencies, and other documents required as part of the grant application. <br /> 6 <br />
