3 <br /> Exhibit A <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> North Everett Transit Center Preliminary Design,Environmental Documentation, <br /> Permitting,ROW Needs Identification <br /> PROJECT INFORMATION <br /> The transit center will be designed to accommodate up to six articulated sixty-foot transit <br /> vehicles and will include accessible features, a security/surveillance system, storm drainage <br /> system, landscaping, lighting, and adjacent traffic signal/roadway improvements and <br /> environmental mitigation that may be required based on the project's traffic analysis and <br /> environmental analysis, respectively (which are part of this scope of work). <br /> This environmental analysis and documentation work includes complying with SEPA and <br /> NEPA requirements. The preliminary design documentation will also include community <br /> input from the surrounding neighborhoods,the City of Everett (COE) and other stakeholders. <br /> COE shall have the option to award the second phase of the design project (final design, <br /> construction documentation and construction observation as needed)to the Consultant. The <br /> project budget for study and planning is $127,828. It is anticipated that construction <br /> documentation will be complete by the end of 2005. Construction is targeted to begin in the <br /> 2"d quarter of 2006. <br /> Everett Community College will construct a new building adjacent to the project site. The <br /> building is scheduled to be operational September 15, 2006.
