Expenditure Required $ -0- Account Number(s): Amount Budgeted $ -0- Additional Required $ -0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The City's Parking Code currently prohibits "reparking" in certain areas of the City. Some infractions have been dismissed due to the failure of the law to specify that reparking is a violation whether or not the violating vehicle has exceeded time zone limits. The proposed revisions to the Parking Code would clarify this area for enforcement purposes. In addition to the repark clarifications, there are other aspects of the Parking Code that this ordinance would clarify to resolve issues that arise from time to time pertaining to commercial vehicles, service parking permits, parking in fire zones, parking of trailers, campers, motor homes and trucks in residential zones, parking on City streets for over 72 hours, and the means by which parking enforcement officers identify vehicles for enforcement purposes.
