Some infractions have <br /> been dismissed due to the failure of the law to specify that reparking is a violation whether or not the <br /> violating vehicle has exceeded time zone limits. The proposed revisions to the Parking Code would clarify <br /> this area for enforcement purposes. In addition to the repark clarifications, there are other aspects of the <br /> Parking Code that this ordinance would clarify to resolve issues that arise from time to time pertaining to <br /> commercial vehicles, service parking permits, parking in fire zones, parking of trailers, campers, motor <br /> homes and trucks in residential zones, parking on City streets for over 72 hours, and the means by which <br /> parking enforcement officers identify vehicles for enforcement purposes. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt an Ordinance Relating to Parking <br /> regulations,Amending Sections 2, 3, 13 18, 20, 21, 22, 25 and 27 of Ordinance No. 2180-96 (Chapter <br /> 46.28 EMC), and adding a section. <br /> 15 <br />
