8 <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> AND <br /> URS CORPORATION <br /> The City and URS Corporation agree to amend and modify their professional services <br /> agreement dated January 12th, 2004 (the "Agreement") as follows: <br /> 1. The following work is added to the Scope of Work described in Exhibit A of the <br /> Agreement: Additional engineering analysis (see Item 3). <br /> 2. Paragraph 4(D) is modified to read as follows: <br /> Total compensation, including all services and expenses, shall not exceed a <br /> maximum of One Hundred and Eighty Four Thousand and Five Hundred and <br /> Forty One Dollars ($257,500.00), representing an increase of$39,500.00 over the <br /> original contract amount. <br /> 3. New tasks are added to the scope of this project, including additional engineering <br /> analysis, as described in detail in the attached Exhibit A, "Scope of Engineering Work, <br /> Portal 3 Relocation at Chaplain Reservoir, Phase 5: Seismic Stability Assessment", dated <br /> September 9th, 2004. The Contract completion date shall be extended to December 31st, <br /> 2006. <br /> 4. The effective date of this Amendment is March 31st, 2005. <br /> 5.
