The C-1 (General Commercial)zoned properties will be rezoned to B-3 (Central Business District). The allowable building height in the area now zoned C-1 would be increased from 80 feet to 150 feet in the B-3 zone. The Planning Commission held a public workshop on October 19, 2004, and discussed the matter as a non-agenda item on November 16, 2004. It held a public hearing on March 8, 2005, at which it recommended approval of the rezone. The minutes of the Commission's discussions at those meetings is attached. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt Ordinance rezoning the east side of Rucker Avenue between Everett Avenue and Pacific Avenue.
