Expenditure Required 1 Account Number(s): Amount Budgeted -0 - Additional Required $ -0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Everett Police Department has advised that changing the penalty for provisions in the Harbor Code relating to age limits on vessel operators and restriction of vessel wake in certain zones would result in more effective enforcement. In addition, the Police Department has advised that enacting vessel licensing requirements into the Everett Municipal Code would result in more effective enforcement. This proposed ordinance would change the penalties for vessel operator age requirements and vessel wake zone requirements from misdemeanors to infractions in certain circumstances and would enact State vessel licensing requirements into the Everett Municipal Code. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt an Ordinance Amending regulations relating to vessels,Amending Section 1 (part) of Ordinance 1246-86, (Everett Municipal Code 12.02.110); and Amending Section 1 (part) of Ordinance 1246-86, as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance 1571-89 (Everett Municipal Code 12.02.170); and Adding a Section. 82
