9 <br /> first obtaining an overnight lodging license to do so from the city clerk of the city <br /> pursuant to the provisions of the license code. <br /> B. All licenses issued pursuant to this chapter are non-transferable and valid for the <br /> calendar year in which issued unless otherwise revoked. <br /> Section 5. Chapter 25, Section 4 of Ordinance No. 295-74 (EMC 5.100.040), which <br /> reads as follows: <br /> Hotel license fee. <br /> The license fee for keeping, conducting, maintaining or operating any hotel in the city <br /> shall be five dollars per year, and in addition thereto fifty cents per year for each room <br /> over six in any hotel. <br /> Be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Hotel license Overnight lodging license fee. <br /> The license fee for keeping, conducting, maintaining or operating any hotel-overnight <br /> lodging facility in the city shall be five one hundred dollars per year, and in addition <br /> thereto fifty cents per year for each room over six in any hotel. <br /> Section 6. Chapter 25, Section 9 of Ordinance No. 295-74 (EMC 5.100.090), which <br /> reads as follows: <br /> Hotel register. <br /> Every person, firm or corporation to whom a hotel license shall have been issued under <br /> the provisions of this chapter shall at all times keep a standard hotel register in which <br /> shall be inscribed the names of all guests or persons renting, using or occupying rooms or <br /> quarters therein, in which register shall be written, the number of the room or rooms <br /> which guest or persons are to occupy, with the time when each room was rented and the <br /> same shall be signed by all persons using any room, rooms, space or quarters or by <br /> someone in his behalf and under his direction. After the name of each person so <br /> registered there shall be done before such person or persons are permitted to occupy or <br /> use such room or rooms. The register shall at all times be opened to the inspection of any <br /> person and it shall be preserved for a period of one year from date of such registration <br /> during which time such inspection shall be allowed when demanded. <br /> Be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Record of guests. <br /> Every person, firm or corporation to whom a hotel an overnight lodging license shall <br /> have been issued under the provisions of this chapter shall at all times keep a standard <br /> hotel register in which shall be inscribed the names of all guests-or persons renting, using <br /> the room or rooms which guest or persons are to occupy, with the time when each room <br /> was rented and the same shall be signed by all persons using any room, rooms, space or <br /> 3 <br /> 48 <br />
