The WDOE Waste Reduction,Recycling, and Model <br /> Litter Control Fund will provide up to $30,312 to support City Public Works litter control activities. <br /> Activities include cleanup of litter and illegally dumped waste from streets,bridge underpasses,parks,trails, <br /> ravines,parking lots,beaches and public property within the City of Everett. The funds will pay for disposal <br /> of collected material, administrative costs, and salary and benefits of crews. No matching funds are required. <br /> Through this program the City of Everett has reduced the adverse environmental and aesthetic impact of litter <br /> and illegal dumping in the City. The program also provides support to neighborhood cleanup projects, <br /> Adopt-A-Street program, and other volunteer based community cleanup efforts. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> It is recommended that Council authorize the Mayor to sign the WDOE Community Litter Cleanup Program <br /> agreement. <br /> 63 <br />
