13 <br /> 8. Diversified Industries — Property Acquisition/Rehabilitation <br /> Diversified employs and trains developmentally disabled people. They currently <br /> occupy a property on a month to month lease. The property will soon be <br /> redeveloped. Divirsified will use these funds to acquire a property to house their <br /> operations. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $175,000.00 <br /> 9. Snohomish County Human Services <br /> Weatherization-Related Minor Home Repair <br /> The Snohomish County Department of Human Services, through the low-income <br /> weatherization and repair program, will provide minor home repair services to <br /> low-income homeowners in Everett who are also receiving weatherization <br /> services. The provision of minor home repair services will allow the <br /> weatherization program to more completely weatherize a home or to solve health <br /> and safety concerns found within the home. This program will have oversight <br /> from the CHIP program. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $17,500.00 <br /> 10. CHIP - Community Housing Improvement Program <br /> CHIP provides housing rehabilitation services and loans to residents of Everett. <br /> Rehabilitation services (loan processing, preparation of bid specifications, <br /> selection and monitoring of contractors) are provided to homeowners and <br /> landlords whose property is located within the program boundaries. A variety of <br /> loans (conventional, guaranteed, reduced interest, and deferred payment) are <br /> available to homeowners based on income. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $321,500.00 <br /> 11. CHIP - Lead Based Paint Abatement <br /> These funds will be used to test for and abate lead based paint issues in houses <br /> being rehabilitated by Everett's Community Housing Improvement Program. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $50,000 <br /> 8 7 <br />
