Y <br /> IJe are sorry that our sign permit on the subject building caas misfiled. <br /> � It is rorrect that you did have a sign permit to erect the sign. <br /> � Regardless of the issued <br /> � � the described work of thePpermit complylwithnapplicablecordinancesaof <br /> � ' thc Cit,y of Everett, <br /> Thc qucstioned sign docs not comply, <br /> Our sign Ordinance No. 4041 requires that roof signs have a clear passage <br /> undcr or around a11 signs over four (4') feet above thc roof, The <br /> passagc shall be three (3') f.eet wide and six (6') feet high. Such <br /> passages shall be located not farther apart than fifty (50') lineal feet <br /> of horizontal roof sign extension. Also [he sign shall be securely anchored <br /> to the frame of the building. Such anchorage shall be designed to resist <br /> a 20 pound per square foot wind load on vertical surfaces. It is our <br /> opinion, that the anchorage does not meet these requirements, unless <br /> calculations are submitted justifying the present method of anchorage. <br /> We will amend our requirements to remove the sign if you will comply <br /> with the above. � well ma-ked, easily opened section of the sign of the <br /> proper size and location will be permitted to substitute for the clear <br /> passage. <br /> Properly designed lag screws or bolts aill be pexmitted to be installed <br /> to proyide anchorage. <br />
