All references refer to the 1997 Uniform Building Code, as <br /> amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington Staie Energy Code 1997 Edition, unle�s stated <br /> otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of xour application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> 1. The south and east walls are required to be of one-hour fire-resistive constructi�n per UBC <br /> 503.2.1. <br /> 2. The eaves above the south and eas: walls are required to be of one-hour fire-resistive <br /> construction per UBC 705. <br /> 3. UBC 713.11.6 requires penetrations in the south wall (vent openings) to be fire dampered. It <br /> would be much less costly to vent this portion of the attic in a different way (i.e., roof jacks, <br /> ridge vent, gable vents}. <br /> 4. The slab-on-grade insulation must comply with WSEC 1311.5. The intent is to stop any <br /> "�hermal bridges". <br /> S.
