Although Mechanical and Electrical work for this tenant improvement was approved we are unable to issue the Certificate of Occupancy until the Building work is approved. The Everett Building Code states that all permits expire if the work authorized by the permits is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days alter the work is commenced. Work under this permit will no longer be authorized unless you: 1) Demonstrate continuing progress by requesting inspection of work that has occurred since your last inspection, or 2) Request final inspections of the work that is completed, or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension, detailing justifiable cause for extension. Please respond within 10 days. After that time your permit file will be sent to our Records Department for microfilming without documentation of final approval. These records are available to prospective buyers and lending institutions. If you wish to resume work in the future, a new permit must be obtained.
