As you may have heard, when paving the pedestrian path, the out-
let of a roadside drainage pipe was coverd. Consequently, water in the
pipe backed up until there was sufficient pressure to force the wat,.r
under the pedestrian path pavement. This caused failure of the pavement
from undermining.
The City proposes the foliowing: The City will install a 12-inch drain
line from the and of the outlet of the existing 10-inch pipe (Sta. 20+45 A
to the catch basin at the Southwest corner of Beverly Boulevard and 75th
Street. The Reiniga Corporation should then replace the failed sections
of pedestrian path paving.
If this is agreeable, please call Dennis Gableman at 259-8811 to coordin-
ate scheduling of the work.
Sincerely,
HUGH WARREN, P.E.
Public Works Director/City Engineer
By,DonZid/N.
