(ECI) is pleased to submit our report <br />entitled "Geotechnical Enyineering 5tudy, Proposed Cascade <br />Shopping Center, Evergreen Way and Campus Parkway, Everett, <br />l9ashington." This report presents the results of field <br />exploration, laboratory tests, and engineering analyses. The <br />purpose and scope of this study was outlined in our p_�posal dated <br />hlay 12, 1986. <br />Following is a summary of the principal findings, conclusions <br />and recommendations of this study. Detailed design and <br />construction criteria are presented in the Discussion and <br />Reconvnendations section of this report. <br />1• The single-story concrete tilt-up structures may be s�pported <br />on c�nventional spread footing at shallow depth. <br />Z• Shallow spread footings may be designed for allowable soil <br />Uearing capacities: <br />A. Of three thousand (3000) pounds per square foot (psf) for <br />footings founded on compacted structural fill in the area at <br />ureat Clothes, Shops "A", and the eastern one-half of <br />Mervyn's. <br />B.
