We are talking about an exit from a mall. The exit, as defined by the IBC, begins at the door into the exit
enclosure. The proposed hallway cannot be considered as part of the mall because it is too narrow and does not share
the same atmosphere.
Thank You, Steve
From: Gordon Randall fmailto•Gordon@fleetwoodioiner.coml
Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2012 11:17 AM
To: Steve Miller
Cc: James Palda; Don Larsen
Subject: Everett Mall Tenant Relocation
Steve
Re: Plan Check B10203-014 through 016
Your comment Number 1 states that openings into exit passageways are limited to exits from normally occupied spaces.
Could we add another set of doors at the turn in the hallway and make the first section non -rated and the portion beyond
the storage areas the rated portion?
Regards.
Gordon Randall.
