Meg Haley
, -
From: Meg Haley
Sent: M^nday, lune 16, 2014 520 PM
To: 'pacificsignerectors@msn.com'
Subject: 51406-007 wall support of sign
Re: TCBY sign
Located at: 1405 SE Everett Mall Way
Permit: 51406-007
DearRon,
Planning has signed off on the permit, hut I am with the building department, and we request additional information
regarding the support of the sign.
Please provide a clarification to the wall support of the TCBY signage proposed. The note regarding mounting fasteners
on tlie submittal does not quite make sense with design of the sign and the description of the wall that you discussed
with me on the phone.
Could you provide an additional sketch, showing the weight of the overell sign, and a section indicating the num6er,
location, and type of the fasteners for the specific wall type behind the sign?
You can e-mail me the additional documents and I will print them for the permit aoplication.
CORRECTIONS NOTE:
Please provide section details and notes that identify type of sign attathment, length and size, the overall
number of attachments, and dimensioned depth of the attachment into the specific type of wall construction
that wiil be supporting the sign. The sign attachments should be shown on the drewings to be sized sufficiently
and designed to support the specific weight of the sign to resist forces from wind, gravity and seismic loading,
per IBC 1603.1.
Best,
Meg
Meg Haley, Architect Plans Examiner, NCAR6 I Puhlic Services Public Works
City of Everet[ 3200 Cedar Si.
