What is shown on the TI plans looks fine but is actually NOT needed in this case.
Explanation...
Shell building drawings in recrds at the moment ("for permitting, not bid or const.") showed an original design with an
interceptor serving only the larger, Ste A space. Last year we caught it during construction and told contractor to extend
the (separate from SS) grease waste (GW) iine into the other tenant spaces, and have them marked for future tenant
use.
I'm not sure where the sanitary stub is in that space, but today I dye-tested a stubbed line in the back of the "D" space
(Jimmy:ohns), confirmed it is GW and does go to the shared GGI, and I marked the line as such.
Bottom line is the strip center meets our requirements as is and unless the properry owner/management wants tenants
to put additional controls inside the spaces, this or other food service tenants need only tie their kitchen drains to the
GW line (I marked it), and of course ensure that sanitary lines are NOT connected to it. We will expect property
management to maintain the unit and rc cords for same. How they allocate costs to tenant(s) is up to them. If Kirtley
Cole has as-builts that more accurately show what's in the ground (vs. what I saw in records today), maybe we should
have those?.
Please have them contact us with any otlier questions or concerns.
Charles
X8224
From: ]essie Patterson
Sent: Wednesday, January 12, 2011 2;05 PM
To: Charles Johnstone
Cc: Mollie Hugnes; Ginny Boersema; Kirk Brooks
Subject: Grease needs? 1510 SE Everett Mall Way
Hi, Charles,
I need to know what the requirements are for this location. They are putting in a new restaurant (Jimmy John's) in a
retail space down by the mall. The permit is almost ready to be worked up-but Kirk wanted me to find out what you
needed so eve could create a permit for that at the same time. The plans are down here if you need to see them.
Thanks,
Jessie Patterson
I3uilding & Enginccring Scrviccs
425-257-8& ] 0
'I'o obtnin forms and Icfirn about fecs visit our ecbsile at:
htto•/hnv.rieverctt.«a.us default.aspx?ID=1170
