l � The type of sprinkler to be installed will be determined by the Building Official. It may be an NFPA i3,NFPA 13R, or NFPA 13D system depending upon several factors. Sprinkler installation shall not begin without an approved and stamped set of plans from the Building DepaRment. The Fire Departmen:will also review t1�e plans and shall field inspect the installation based only on appro��ed plans that must be on site. Changes to plans must be approved by both thc Building and Fire Departmeats. Aboveground sprinkler piping shall be hydrostatically tested as established in NFPA Standard 13. The old tanks shall be pumped out with fiiel propedy disposed of prior to removal. No product or rinse water may be disposed of in such a way tiiat it co��1d enter thc storm drains system. 39. Hazardous Materials- In order to expedite plan review, a hazardous materials im�entory list shall be provided as a part of the submittal for building permit. The storage, handling and use of hazardous materials shall be in compliance with Article 80 of the Uniform Fire Code, 1997 Edition. 40. The storage, handling and use of flammable or combustible liquids shall comply with Article 79 of the Uniform Fire Code, 1997 Edition. 41. All Fre alarm control panels(FACY) and sprinkler valves sliall be in heated rooms or closets with standard man door access. L.ocations shall be approved by the Fire Marshal's Office. 42. Trash Collection -Dumpsters over 1.5 cubic yards capacity shall be located a minimum of 5 feet from the building [UFC 1103.2.2, 1997 Edition]. 43. The Wast�ington State Clean Air Act requires the use of all known, available, and reasonable means of controlling air pollution, including dust. Dust generated during construction activities can be controllcd by wetting those dust sources such as areas oF exposed soils, washing truck wheels before they leave the site, and installing and maintaini��g gravel construction entrances. Construction vehicle track-out is also a major dust source. Any evidence of track-out can uigger violations and fines from the Department of Ecology or the Puget Soand Clean Air Agency. 9 /!
