An 8 foot shoulder currently abutts This pro,xrty's <br /> frontage. <br /> Proposed HiahwaY Mitimtion Measures <br /> The Department of Traruportatian, in rnncurrence with the counTy, has <br /> implemented a "Roufe Continuity Design" concept for fhis highway. This pian <br /> specifia a 41 foot roadway widtli from centerline to curb foce, with 14 foot <br /> shoulders and gutters, curbs ond 5 foot sidewallc�. This cm be built within the <br /> existing ri¢it-of-way. This aoss section provides beTter delineation and <br /> separafion for ihe increasing pedestrian traffic. Access locations can also be i <br /> better defined. Affer reviewing this site's frontage along SR 99, we conclude ' <br /> that sFaulder widening and gutter, curb and 5 foot of sidewaik ore needed. <br /> The developer has submitted plans of the proposed site to ihis Desigi Section. <br /> Thae plans propoee a S foot lanckcaped strip within state right-of•way. We have <br /> advised the deueloper that this Imdscaping will require an air lease permit from <br /> our Land Management Unit. This landscaping along SR 99 is restricted to a <br /> maximun hei¢�t of 2 feet. The de�neloper has also agreed to ir�stall m enclased <br /> cancrete drainage pipe allowing drainage through The existing water rnurse after <br /> the sife is poved. <br />
