This ordinance establishes four as the maximum
number of operable motor vehicles that can be parked on private property. It also provides for an exemption
that would allow households with more than four licensed drivers to have more vehicles on the property.
The enforcement of this ordinance would reduce the visual nuisance created by large numbers of cars parked
in residential neighborhoods. And it will also help identify residential properties where non -permitted auto
shops are operating.
RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt an Ordinance relating to the Number of
Vehicles which may be parked within Residential Neighborhoods, and adding a new Chapter to the Everett
Municipal Code, Title 8.
119
