They were: Phoenix, <br />Arizona; Sacramento, San Diego and San Jose, Cali fcrni a; <br />Denver/Boulder, Colorado; Hartford, Connecticut; Fort Lauder- <br />dale, Miami and Tampa, Florida; Indianapolis, Indiana; New <br />Orleans, Louisiana; Kansas City, Missouri; Newark, New Jersey; <br />Buffalo, New York; Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio; <br />Portland, Oregon; San Antonio, Texas; Seattle, Washington; and <br />Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Although slightly outside the population <br />parameters for this selection, Louisville, Kentucky and Atlanta, <br />Georgia were also included. <br />2. Regional designations used were those employed by the U. S. Bureau <br />of the Census for the 1980 Census.
