The study blocks are flanked by the Milford Plaza Hotel, between 44th and <br />45th Streets, the Days Inn between 48th and 49th Streets, and Worldwide Plaza <br />between 49th and 50 Streets. Along this strip of three blocks there are eight adult use <br />establishments: six movie theaters and two video stores. <br />Ninth Avenue ,Control . Block _ <br />_ The building stock on Ninth Avenue resembles that on the Eighth Avenue study <br />block: predominantly older, two to four-story buildings, often with apartments `above <br />the retail places. The uses on Ninth Avenue are more reflective 'of the area's zoning <br />for Iocal.retail uses;:with food markets; barbers, -locksmiths. -fast foods;'and florists, <br />:for. example.---: Also 'noteworthy are the, numerous -'restaurants' along "Ninth Avenue <br />serving primarily locals. = -- <br />There are no adult use establishments along Ninth Avenue, -either in our three - <br />block control blockfront between 45th and 48th Streets; or.for the entire stretch from. <br />42nd Street up to 50th .
