NOTICE OF HEARING <br />DOWNTOWN EVERETT BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA (BIA) <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW BIA <br />DISESTABLISHMENT OF OLD BIA <br />ASSESSMENTS FOR THE BIA FISCAL YEARS <br />2005, 2006, 2007 <br />TO: Owners and Reputed Owners of Real Property and Buildings within the area <br />encompassed by the Downtown Everett Business Improvement Area and Owners and <br />Reputed Owners of Real Property and Buildings encompassed by the proposed new <br />Downtown Everett Business Improvement Area. <br />FROM: City of Everett <br />SUBJECT: Hearing by The Everett City Council to: <br />1. Consider and adopt a Resolution disestablishing the existing BIA; <br />2. Consider and adopt a Resolution initiating and establishing a new BIA and <br />setting the boundaries thereof; <br />3. Consider and adopt an Ordinance <br />a. Repealing Ordinance No. 2097-95; <br />b. Establishing a new BIA; <br />c. Adopting a Budget for the new BIA for the BIA fiscal years (July 1 <br />through June 30) of 2005, 2006 and 2007; <br />d. Levying special assessments for the BIA fiscal years (July 1 through <br />June 30) of 2005, 2006 and 2007. <br />HEARING DATE: June 29, 2005 <br />HEARING TIME: 8:30 A.M. <br />HEARING PLACE: Everett City Council Chambers, City Hall, 3002 Wetmore <br />Avenue, Everett, Washington. <br />As more fully stated in Resolution No. (copy attached), the Everett City <br />Council shall hold a hearing on June 29, 2005 at 8:30 A.M., or as soon thereafter as the <br />Council may begin. At the hearing, comment will be received by the City Council to <br />assist it in its deliberations for consideration and adoption of resolutions and ordinance of <br />the proposed disestablishment of the existing BIA, repeal of Ordinance No. 2097-95, the <br />initiation and establishment of a new BIA, the provisions of a budget therefore and the <br />levying special assessments upon buildings and other real property (and the owners <br />thereof) in the new Downtown Business Improvement Area for collection in the BIA <br />fiscal years(July 1 through June 30) of 2005, 2006 and 2007. <br />83 <br />
