Pavements FIELD EXPLORATION AND LABORATORY TESTiNG On April 4, 20U8, we conducted our explorddon by observing the driliing of four test borings drilled with a drill rig provided by R and R Drilling. The borings extended to a maximum depth of 16.5 feet below tfie exlsdng ground surtace. All of the borings were � drilled through the existing graveled driveways and park(ng lotis exisdng on the property. The approximate bo�ing locations are shown on the Exploration Location Pian, Flgure 2. The borings were approximately determined by pacing from known landmarks. The individual boring logs describing details of the soil conditions are presented on Fgures 3 through 6. An engineering geologist maintained a Iog of each boring as it was drllled, dassified the soil conditions encountered, and obWined representative soil samples. All soil samples were visually classified in accordance with the Uhifted Soil ClassiFlcatlon System. Representative soil samples obtained from the borings were placed in sealed plasdc bags and retumed to a laboratory for further examination and testing. The moisture content of each sample was measured and is reported on the individual Boring Logs. SITE CONDITIONS Surface The project site consists of an elongated north-south parcel located along tfie west side of the 11300 Block of Evergreen Way (Hwy. 99) in Everett, Washfngton. The approximate site location is shown on the vcinity Map, Figure 1. The irregular shaped property measures about 200 feet wide and is up to about 400 feet long in the north- south direction. The property is bordered by Wal-Mart property to the south and southwest. Other commercial and church properties exist to the northwest and north sides of the parcel as well as across the street to the east. The site varies in elevation from about 506 feet in the southwest comer above the stream slope up to elevation 517 in the northeast corner. Project No. 1234' � Page No.j 3/��
