'' . <br /> 1 <br /> ,, Cv <br /> o xt L'ifI <br /> s ' a <br /> mak. ?, ¢ _ <br /> g r <br /> y N �d. <br /> r 1 c V # ,60. <br /> iz <br /> , .4.',- loi, - 4 <br /> , , <br /> Details **b•-• 14111110" aMMINIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII <br /> I The Future Dreaming attempts to bring together symbols from the osite,representing our present and the process tha <br /> unity Center and its initial function.The three ma <br /> components both visible and not,are the time capsule undersculpture <br /> made this dream realized.The cedar stump pays homage to the logging industry and symbolizes our roots.And the child <br /> representing our future.On his lap is a book half read and his thoughts are in some far away place.Around the stump on <br /> which he sits are various wild animals,a squirrel,a frog,a butterfly and a wren,all interplay with the sculpture and the <br /> observer.The sculpture is life size and measures around 6` tall.the bronze will be anchored into top of the time capsules cov <br /> but future removal will be designed in for access to its contents 100 years hence.The sculpture is composed vertically to tat <br /> advantage of the tall narrow lobby.The child's head will be facing up towards the high west windows,further connecting t <br /> piece to the site.The book on his lap(The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain)and the the books overflowin <br /> from his backpack serve as an reference to the importance of reading and learning in our lives. <br />
