During this <br /> project, SR 529 lane restrictions will be permitted but WSDOT will open all lanes if traffic congestion <br /> occurs. The contractor will also be allowed two weekend closures of southbound SR 529 and two weekend <br /> closures of northbound SR 529,though these closures cannot occur simultaneously or when lane restrictions <br /> are being allowed in the opposite direction. <br /> Additionally,this agreement will enable the City to be reimbursed for the cost of additional routine <br /> maintenance and repairs to the City's street system made necessary by the State's project. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign Detour Agreement HRD 1-0317 with the Washington State Department of <br /> Transportation for the SR 529 Snohomish River Bridge Repair Project. <br /> 68 <br /> HRD 1-0317 Agenda.doc <br />
