(ZZA) <br /> has completed a Subsurface Exploration and Geotechnical Engineering Evaluation for the above- <br /> referenced project. The conclusions and recommendations developed from the evalua6on azc <br /> � discussed in the subsequent sections of trus rcport. <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> The following is a brief summary outline of the geotechnical conclusions and <br /> recornmcndations for this project. The summary should be rcad in complete context with the <br /> accompanying repori for proper intecpretation. <br /> Subsurface Evaluation <br /> • The subsurface evaluation consisted of complering 33 hollow-stem auger borings and 21 <br /> backhoe-excavated test pits across tte project site. The boring and test pit locarions were <br /> based upon a Conceptual Site Plan dated June 20, 2002, by PacLand. Additional borings and <br /> test pits were completed by ZZA in October 2002 as part of a Limited Phase II Environmental <br /> Sitc Assessmcnt and were used to supplement the new explorations. <br /> Subsurface Conditions <br /> • Subsurface conditions gcnerally consisted of undocumented fill consisting of silty sand and <br /> silty sand widi some gravel or native silty sand with some gravel interpreted to be weathered <br /> and unweathered glacial till. <br /> • Fill depths were grcatest along the westem third and the castern third of thc PulI-A-Part <br /> wrecking yard properry and the Fifth Wheel Place property.
