The sizes of the new beams should be shown on the plans. Calculations should be provided which justify the sizing of the beams. 2. Details of the beam connections should be shown on the plans — both beam to beam and beam to supporting post (within the wall cavity). 3. The new beams will induce new point loads to the fouiidation. It should be clarified how the foundation will support the neH loads (supported from the existing four.dation from che old fireplace, new pier pads, etc). { � 4.
