Captain 9urgy's inspection brought <br /> to our attention that your business is new at this location and requested us <br /> to look into some Code regulations regarding your business. The following are <br /> requirements of the Uniform Fire Code, as adopted, which require your <br /> attention: <br /> 1. Obtain a Certificate of Occupancy as required in Sections 307 and 502 of <br /> the Uniform Buiiding Code, 1988 Edition (copies enclosed). <br /> Note--The front office electronic part of your business is classified as <br /> a B-2 occupancy, but the back shop areas used for custom work on cars in <br /> an H-4 occupancy because of the repair work and limited spray painting. <br /> 2. Under permit from the City of Everett Building Department, construct a <br /> "2imited spraying area" to comply with Section 45.207 and Table No. 5-B <br /> "Required Separation in Buildings of Mixed Occupancy" (1-hour fire-rated <br /> separation required) of the Uniform Fire Code, 1988 Edition (cepies <br /> enclosed). <br /> 3. Obtain and post in a conspi,:uous place, a Fire Department permit for: <br /> Spraying or dippinq. To operate a spraying or dipping enterprise <br /> utilizing flammable liquids included within the scope of Article 45. See <br /> Section 45.102. <br /> Weldinq and cuttinq operations. To conduct welding and/or cutting <br /> operations in any occupancy. See Article 49. <br /> 4.
