I have enclosed these itans for your review be-
cause we wish to appeal the decision of assigning our project with an address along
100th Street S. W. as stated in }rour letter. We are very strongly in opposition to
this, in that we feel that an Evergreen Way address is essazti.al for the succss of
our project.
In }rox letter, you mention that there is a City of Lberett code which r+;res that a
street address be detexmined by the location of the front door or the main enlsance on
the street. In o narticular situation, we originally anticipated having the main
park entrance off ofergreen Way, but .as forced to abandon that approach after re-
ceiviag the final Declaration of Non-Significance. In that docunent, it was reconuended
to nct allow any access onto Evec'green Way fran o project. The Ciry agreed with this
thinking and all access to Eer.green Way was prohibited. Ths rnt only denied us the
access we felt necessary to obtain the identity for o project and fut¢'e tenants, but
fisther eliminated the chance for an Evergreen Way.address per yo' interpretation of
the City code. On the other basis, we are presently platming to make the east eny of
ois largest office building (Bldg. "C") as the main entrance to t1at building. This -
trance wou.Ld, in fact, face Ebergrem Way. Since the enti.r.e project is only going to re-
ceive one rnmbered addreas and the main office building entrance faces Evergreen Way, we
feel this clies with the interpretation of the City code.
Other considerations wa feel should be mentiorzd concerning this matter are, 1) as pur-
chases, we paid a preniinn price for tlus property due to its exposure on Ebex'green Way;
2) as owner/contr.actor, we are presently proceeding with the construction of approximately
' 150 lineal feet of street imprwanents along Ebergreen Way for the City's benefit.
