February 27, 1975
B
American Ice Company
2815 Federal
 ve C'C; `Slasington
Dear Sir:
One of the Snohomish County
dangerous situation on your
it to me.
P.U.D. field men noticed a
building and has referred
the Evergreen
CITY OF
eve rett
cITY HLL • 25a-eee9
[VEHETT, WASHINGTON
neaoi
INSFECTION OEPA0.TMENT
The large service conductors on the west side of'the main
building (next to the railroad tracks) have pulled the
supports from the side of the buiiding and are hanging
down into the phone wires and close enough to the metal
down spout to be able to •aing into contact with it.
I made a personal check of the condition myself and
noticed sections of the wire has the insulation off or
-. deteriorated to the exte;it it would leak through to any-
thing it may come in contact with. This is a 480 volt
line that is primary metered so is the responsibility of
the customer to maintain.
This is the reason the P.U.D. has referred the problem to
me to initiate the start for a correction. The electrical
code no longer permits unfused wire to run along a
building as this does. Therefore, it would be wise to have
your electrical contractor contact the Snohomish County
P.U.D. with a proposal that would be acceptable to them
as well as meeting the code requirements.
Would you p7ease give this your immediate atteition so
that we may reslve this problem as soon as possible.
Respectfully yours,
L. J. DOUGHFRTY
Elcetrical Inspector
WD: eb
cc: D9r. Dorway, Snohomish Cousity P.O.D.
