February 27, 1975 <br />B <br />American Ice Company <br />2815 Federal <br />� ve �C'C; `S�las�ington� <br />Dear Sir: <br />One of the Snohomish County <br />dangerous situation on your <br />it to me. <br />P.U.D. field men noticed a <br />building and has referred <br />the Evergreen <br />CITY OF <br />eve rett <br />cITY H�LL • 25a-eee9 <br />[VEHETT, WASHINGTON <br />neaoi <br />INSFECTION OEPA0.TMENT <br />The large service conductors on the west side of'the main <br />building (next to the railroad tracks) have pulled the <br />supports from the side of the buiiding and are hanging <br />down into the phone wires and close enough to the metal <br />down spout to be able to �•aing into contact with it. <br />I made a personal check of the condition myself and <br />noticed sections of the wire has the insulation off or <br />-. deteriorated to the exte;it it would leak through to any- <br />thing it may come in contact with. This is a 480 volt <br />line that is primary metered so is the responsibility of <br />the customer to maintain. <br />This is the reason the P.U.D. has referred the problem to <br />me to initiate the start for a correction. The electrical <br />code no longer permits unfused wire to run along a <br />building as this does. Therefore, it would be wise to have <br />your electrical contractor contact the Snohomish County <br />P.U.D. with a proposal that would be acceptable to them <br />as well as meeting the code requirements. <br />Would you p7ease give this your immediate atte�ition so <br />that we may res�lve this problem as soon as possible. <br />Respectfully yours, <br />L.
