Based upon 12,150 square feet of type V 1-hour sprinklered <br />constrv^_tion, the required fire flow is 1,500 gallons per minute. <br />(SEPA P�iblic Selwices Policies) <br />b. An automatic fire alarm system complyinq with Uniform Fire Code <br />Standard 14-1 must be provided in each multifamily buildinq of 3 <br />or more stories. (SEPA Public Services Policies) Plans must be <br />submitted to the Fire Prevention Bureau for approval. Submittal <br />shall include cut sheets of all equipment for use. Please <br />contact 259-8710 for information related to acceptance tests. <br />Fire alarm systems must be installed under permit of the Buildinq <br />Department. Please call 259-8810 for Fermit information. <br />c. An automatic sprinkler system complyinq with NFPA Standard 13R <br />must be provided in each building of three or more stories. <br />(SEPA Public Services Policies) <br />d. A portable fire extinguisher with a minimum UL ratinq of 2A must <br />be provided within 75 feet travel distance on each floor of all <br />portions of the building during construction. Portable fire <br />protection must be provided as required by Article 10 of the <br />Uniform Fire Code prior to occupancy of the structure. (SEPA <br />Public Services Policies) . <br />The following items are hereby added under the section of the (DNS) <br />entitled, Infornation for the DevelRper: <br />a. The City of Everett prohibits outdoor burning. No fires Eor the <br />purpose of disposinq of construction debris wil.l be allowed. <br />b. When access to or within a structure or an area is unduly <br />difficult because of secured openinqs or where immediate access <br />is necessary for 13fe saving or fire-fiqhting purposes, the Fire <br />Department may recommend or require that a key box be installed <br />in an accessible location. A rapid entry system may also be <br />desirable in order to avoid unnecessary damaqe while makinq entry <br />to any building durinq an emergency situation.
