October 22, 1975
Mr. Ron Jacobsen
Luther Child Center
4526 Federal
Everett, Washington 98203
Dear Mr. Jacobsen:
At the request of the contractor, an inspection was made of the
new dormitory building.
the E e, ;en
CITY of
everett
3901 OAKES . 393.9797
EVERETT. WASNINGTON
99201
FIRE DEPARTMENT
REIND T. WATSON
Fire Chief
The electrical drawings show two lighted exit signs in the entry
way in front of the main doors. These are in addition to the
lighted exit signs directly over the main doors.
I am recommending that the two exit signs in the entry hall can
be deleted. Directional arrows can be used on the exit signs
in the bedroom halls. A few steps in the direction indicated
%rill then permit occupants to see the exit signs over the main
doors. The signs in the entry hall would add little if any to
promoting safe egress for the occupants.
Very .ruly yours,
Walter H. Cooper
Fire Marshal
WHC/ra
