These comments address building issues only, additional revisions or additions may be required by other departmen[s (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer [o the 1988 Uniform Buildmg Code and/or Wazhington State Energy Code unless stated othenvise. 1. Washingron State Energy Code (WSEC) compliance form was not included with your submittal. A completed form shall be submitted before your permit can be issued. 2. Sleeping rooms shall have at least one operable window or door approved for emergency escape or rescue which shall open directly into a public street, public alley, yazd or exit court. All escape or rescue windows shall have a minimum openable azea of 5.7 square feet. This minimum net clear openable height dimension shall be 24 inches. When windows are provided as a means of escape or rescue they shall have a finished sill height not more than 44 inches above the finished Floor. . 3. Vaulted ceilings are required to be insulated to minimum R-30 with one inch clear air space over the insulauon. 4. Floors over unhexted spaces are required to be insulated to minimum R-30. 5. Above grade walls are required to be insulated to R-19. 6. Attic access openings shall have thirty inch minimum clear headroom in the atuc space above the openmg.
