She said that she had contacted the owner, Greg Morris, at an earl�er date and he had a maintenanc= man come out to work on the roof. Aiter the reoair woric was completed, the ceiling has continued to sag. I asked if there was insulation in the ceiling area and the tenant indicated that there was. I told them that the insulation was probably saturated and would continue to cause ceilinq problems and that they had to contact the owner again. I advised them of the State Tenant Landlord Act and told that if they felt it was dangerous enouqh situation, could give the owner 24 hours to respond. I called and the tenant told me that the ceiling in the bedroom had fallen. She said that Linda Gough, Tim Tyler and a Building Inspector were there. I asked the tenant if she had called the owner. She told me that upon serving the owner with the letter, she in turn received an eviction notice from the owner, the owner broke the lease. I asked her i£ she had a place to stay fvr the night and she said yes. I asked i£ she had a place to move to and she said "� yes, I advised her that I was going to call the owner and talk with him about the problem with the ceiling. �� I called and talked with the owners son who is managing the property for his £ather. I explained the situation and that the insulation in the ceiling was wet and continued to cause �J problems with the ceiling falling. Shortly after our phone conversation the owner of the property called. I explained the entire situation to him and told him that repairing the roof was only part of the system that needed repairing. We discussed the insulation being wet and the damage it was causing. He said he would have someone go over and clean it up. C7 x
