NOTE CAREFULLY: Answer <br />questions and make explanations b4 correcting original plans, and new <br />plans must be submitted to the Building Inspection Department. As detailed, deck railing is not capable of withstanding a <br />horizontal force of 20#/lin. ft. Rail must be 42" high. Table 23-B <br />2. 6" x 14" floor beams are overstressed. (100 psf live load) _ <br />3. Footings under 6" x 6" posts are too small for soil bearing <br />pressure of 2000 psf. Footings must be reinforced. <br />4. Detail attachment of ledger supporting deck framing to the <br />wall. <br />5. Submit design of retaining walls. <br />6. Ramp for handicapped access must have handrails on each W <br />side, 32" to 36" high. <br />7. Exterior deck and stair framing to be pressure treated with <br />preservative. 2516(c)ll <br />8. Anchor bolts attaching plates to top of basement walls to <br />be 112" x 10" spaced at 24" o.c. <br />9. Vertical reinforcing in basement walls to be located on the <br />inside face with 1" clearance. <br />10. Where joists are parallel to basement walls (east and west) <br />provide solid blocking 24" o.c. not less than 2 joist spaces <br />with 6 - 16d nails at each blocking. <br />11.
